Gaffney Halligan & Co recently acted for a cyclist who sustained serious multiple injuries when he was knocked from his bicycle on his way to work in Dublin. The van driver involved turned across his path and although liability was not formally accepted, a significant six figure settlement was secured without the necessity to go to court. 

Because of the injuries involved, a number of expert reports were commissioned to include various doctors/consultants reports, occupational therapy and vocational reports and actuarial reports. The client suffered injuries that may prevent him from returning to full time employment so the claim included a complex loss of earnings element.
