Gaffney Halligan & Co were delighted to act for a couple who recently secured a substantial six figure settlement arising out of problems with an extension and refurbishment works carried out to their home in Dublin. An expert report was commissioned from an independent Architect which established that the architect engaged by the couple was in breach of their professional duty of care. The builder was also named as a Defendant to the case. A number of allegations of negligence were included against both the builder and the Architect.

The settlement was secured at a relatively early stage in the litigation process much to the satisfaction of the clients.
